Sometimes the first job of design is simply to make the possibility real.
The Wolfpack began as an ambitious vision for a new athletic facility. Before committing to the cost and complexity of moving forward, the idea needed enough definition to start meaningful conversations about feasibility, programming, scale, and support.
We translated the early ideas into a conceptual building with multiple athletic courts, a large wrestling area, locker rooms, offices, concessions and spectator space, plus an elevated open-air weight room. The concept package explored the building in plan, elevation, site context, and 3D so stakeholders could understand what the facility might actually become.
The project ultimately did not move into construction, but that doesn’t make the exercise unsuccessful. Concept design gave the team something concrete to react to, discuss, present, and evaluate before substantially greater resources were committed.
Before you can build the project, sometimes you have to build belief in the idea.
